Carita Miller is a Detroit-based music industry professional whose work bridges music, media, and artist development. She is an independent music supervisor, artist manager, talent agent with Breakpoint Booking, and music editor at Beautiful Machine Magazine. Carita also leads music initiatives at Mainstreem Media, where she helps develop opportunities for emerging artists and creators through digital entertainment and media platforms.

She is the founder of The Lady with the Golden Ear, a company focused on music supervision and sync licensing, and CM2 Entertainment, which specializes in artist development, consulting, event production, and strategy. Over the last several years, Carita has supervised music for more than 15 films while also managing and supporting independent R&B and hip-hop artists as they navigate releases, branding, live performances, and career growth.

Carita’s journey in entertainment began at a young age through dance, television, and radio exposure in Detroit. She later gained industry experience through opportunities with WJLB and Arista Records, which helped shape her understanding of both the creative and business sides of music. Her passion for helping artists build sustainable careers ultimately led her into music supervision, artist management, and entertainment entrepreneurship.

In May 2026, Carita graduated from Berklee College of Music Online with a degree in music business, where she maintained a 3.9 GPA while balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and multiple leadership roles within the industry. She is also a proud voting member of the Recording Academy (Class of 2024) and an associate member of the Guild of Music Supervisors.

Through her work, she continues to champion Detroit’s creative culture while building pathways for artists to succeed on a global scale.
